You may or may not know it, but people’s teeth can be completely replaced in their mouth using implants and bridges. One of the ways that we do that is called the All-on-X or implant retained denture. Rather than people suffering with teeth coming in and out like their grandma may have experienced, people are able to get these bolted in place or snapped in place. People can chew the things that they want to. They can smile and not worry about a social faux pas of teeth moving around or anything like that. And we have this capability nowadays and it’s amazing. I’m really excited about working with people who take on this project because the results and the life-changing effect that it can have on people’s social life and their ability to eat and chew and all this is just incredible.
Achieve a Beautiful, Healthy Smile With All-on-X Treatment
You may know that dental implants are the preferred way to replace missing teeth. But did you know that it’s not necessary to place a dental implant for each missing tooth? If you need a complete arch of teeth replaced on either or both of your jaws, we can use just four implants per arch to anchor them. This technique will save you time and money on your implant treatment, while still offering you all the benefits of dental implants.
Unlike conventional dentures, with All-on-X you can:
- Get your implants and new replacement teeth all on the same day
- Enjoy full arches of teeth using fewer implants
- Fully taste your food, as your upper palate will be exposed
- Protect the integrity of your jawbone, as the implants will stimulate it
- Care for your new teeth with simple brushing and flossing
- Keep teeth firmly in place without adhesive and not worry about slipping or shifting
Understand How an All-on-X Procedure Works
With All-on-4, just four implants per arch are placed. Your dentist sometimes recommends using six implants for added stability. In this case, your treatment is referred to as All-on-6. Either way, we’ll plan out your care using the latest dental technology. We’ll take digital X-rays and 3-D images using a dental cone beam CT scanner. A computer-guided placement procedure ensures that your implants are inserted precisely where they need to go.
Your dentist will place two implants vertically near the front of your mouth and two implants at specific angles farther back. This placement is the key to the success of your All-on-X treatment.
One of the biggest benefits is that you can leave our office with new teeth the same day. With All-on-X, we can anchor a temporary set of teeth to your implants without the wait time usually needed for implants. You can use these teeth immediately for smiling, biting, and chewing.
Once your final restorations are made in the lab and sent to us, you’ll return to the office to have them placed. You’ll never need to remove these teeth for cleaning or care. All you have to do is brush and floss daily, and they should last you for many years.
