Our office is set up to see patients of all ages. We even accommodate seeing children. And we think that it’s important that kids get in pretty early so that they can get used to being at the dentist so they know that it’s a safe place. Our office can handle everybody from grandma and grandpa down to the toddlers.
One of the most important things about getting children in early to the dentist is to attempt to build a relationship of trust with them, with the hygienists and with the doctors and with the patient and the parents so that the child knows that we’re here to help them and this is a place that can be safe throughout their life.
When we wait until there’s problems and the kids have to deal with that early on, it’s a bigger obstacle to deal with than it is if we can get them in and show them preventative care and how easy that can be.
